Why a dslr rather than a point and shoot camera? The number one reason is the tremendous amount of features that dslr cameras have more than a simple point and shoot camera, but with the ease of point and shoot cameras. The quality of the images are far better than a point and shoot camera.

To be fair, an entry level dslr camera isn't perfect it can`t do everything and it would be unreasonable to expect it to. Try to put things in perspective, perfection costs, expect to pay 000 plus. For many people who want to move up to a more advanced level of photography a dslr camera allows the beginner the freedom of choice to take outstanding photographs. An entry level dslr gives you a lot of control so let your creative juices flow.
